خلاصه مقاله:
This paper presents a simple method of extrusion die designand optimization for a upvc window profile of complexgeometry used in production of sliding window frame. Amajor challenge in profile extrusion die design is flowbalancing and uniform mean velocity at the die exit as anunbalanced flow causes distortion of the profile. This isespecially true for complicated profile dies with uneventhicknesses in certain sections of the die [1]. The dieoptimisation was based on exit flow velocity at variousesections according to rheological properties and shearthinning behavior of the polymer and die geometrical designand parameters.
