In this paper, a mathematical approach is utilized so as tomodel the flame structure of organic dust particles(Lycopodium). One-dimensional flame propagation in cloudof fuel mixture is analyzed in which flame structure isdivided into preheat, reaction and post-flame zones.Non-zero Biot number is used in order to study the effect ofparticles thermal resistance on flame characteristics. Also,effect of particles size on combustion of organic dust isinvestigated. It is understood that both burning velocity andflame temperature decrease with rise in the Biot number andparticles size. The analytical results were compared toexperimental ones and reasonable agreement was observed.
