خلاصه مقاله:
Forced convection heat transfer inside a wavy channelpartially filled with a porous substrate is investigated. Finitevolume method is utilized to simulate this problemnumerically. The porous layer is mounted in two differentpositions (near the walls and at the core) inside the channel.The effects of both porous layer locations and amplitude ofwavy walls on heat transfer characteristics are studied forRe=500 and Darcy number between 10-6-10-2. Results areverified against an exact solution which indicate theaccuracy of the numerical investigation. The obtainedresults also indicate that the use of wavy walls when porousmaterial is placed at the center of the channel enhances heattransfer more predominantly when compared with the casewith porous material at the walls of the channel.
