Abstract:
This paper investigates cooling system for a helmet usingthermoelectric module. This cooling system consists of heatsink, thermoelectric module, radial fan controller and powersupply. In thermoelectric coolers, by applying voltage, heatwill be transferred throughout the system and it createstemperature difference. Therefore, we can usethermoelectric as heat pump. Such a system has beenimplemented and installed on a helmet. The performance ofthe implemented device has been conducted by SolidWorkssoftware. The temperature has also been measuredexperimentally, after implementing the device.Experimental and numerical results fit to each other andmean temperature inside the helmet was reached from 40 °Cto 36 °C.
