Abstract:

In this paper, an advanced non-associative elasto-plasticity model fully coupled with anisotropic ductile damage is applicated to predict fracture zone of a square-cup deep drawing sheet metal forming. The constitutive equations fully coupled with anisotropic ductile damage are represented. After the numerical integration of constitutive equations, numerical implementation is performed using return mapping algorithm. The model is implemented into ABAQUS FE software along with the user’s developed subroutine VUMAT. The obtained model can be used for virtual sheet metal forming simulations. A square-cup deep-drawing process is modeled as a bench-mark problem and the critical damage zones of this process are identified using the anisotropic damage model. The results show that the most important thickness reduction is located at the corner of the square-box and the presence of cracks on this zones is highly pedictable
