Abstract:

Concerns about water and food shortages and growing population have received increased attention over the past few years, especially in agriculture section. Precision agriculture is a new and developing discipline that uses different advanced technologies to enhance the efficiency of farm inputs through reducing inputs need and create a sustainable agroecosystem. With precision agriculture, control centers collect and process data in real time to help farmers make the best decisions with regard to planting, fertilizing and harvesting crops. Sensors placed throughout the fields are used to measure temperature and humidity of the soil and surrounding air. In addition, unmanned air-monitoring systems are among the most important technologies that are widely used in precision agriculture. Although there are several limitations in using these technologies, the obtained outputs play a critical role in precision agriculture management systems.
