خلاصه مقاله:
Smart materials, have been around for many years and they have found a large number of applications. Smart Materials constitute a new class of highly innovative materials, able to perceive stimuli from the external environment and to react accordingly by autonomously and reversibly changing their mechanical, physical-chemical or electrical properties or their geometrical characteristics adapting to the new environmental conditions. Selection of materials for use in architecture and structures is always based on various criteria. Smart materials, as a class of advanced technologies , occupy a murky middle ground between the low tech and the high tech approaches: while clearly very sophisticated, these materials are presumed to be direct and discrete substitutes for much larger systems .The paper is a study on the types of smart materials and influence in architectural structures that a New construction advancements range from alternative materials and a new search for improvement and advancement in the systems of construction .
