The world, is increasingly earned progress in all areas of scientific and technological, especially in a wide range of science of restoration .There are many methods in conservation of stone in monuments and ant that one part is stone cleaning that have been considered by experts restoration of historic monuments . Although the primary reasons for stone cleaning is not only necessary for aesthetic reasons , but often promotes conservation and is also undertaken as part of maintenance .In the cleaning debate, soiling is often pre-supposed only to be an external agent, with particulate deposition and reaction resulting from either wet or dry conditions . On the other hand, there are different types of stones and external Factors on them is different. Many methods have been applied to resolve but a number of them haven t same reaction in a same problem. In this paper, first the stone cleaning methods are introduced and classified and then reviewed .The main aim is how categorize stone cleaning methods that is presented based on results.
