Abstract:
Given the importance of energy in the human life and running out of energy, especially fossil fuels as a result, it is needed to clean and renewable fuels such as hydrogen. The best method to produce hydrogen gas is hydrogen evaluation reaction in electrolyzers. This method needs to active and low cost catalysts whit highly efficient. The non-noble-based catalysts with high activity and durability are the choices to replace expensive Pt-based catalysts for HER. In this study, graphene was prepared as a support with a high surface for Fe nanoparticle and the effects of reducing agents were studied for example Hydrazine hydrate and EG, EG and NaBH4 on Fe/rGO activities as an Electro catalyst for HER in Alkaline Media. The structure of the supports was studied by FT-IR spectroscopy technique. The activity and stability of the prepared catalysts were studied at HER in alkaline media by different electrochemical techniques. These results make it as a promising catalyst which could be used in the cathode side of water electrolyzer in alkaline media.
