Abstract:
Public health , nowadays, has been received a significantamount of Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and preciselyinvestigation of the cost management through public healthprograms still remains as a challenging issue. However, there still remains a need for developing a comprehensivehealth performance evaluation tool. In this paper, a newapplication of Earned Value Management (EVM) ispresented dealing with this issue with a focus onimmunization planning. implementation of the obtainedresults reveal that the presented framework can bedeveloped as a universal performance evaluation tool inpublic health sector. By using EVM technique, not onlyhealthcare programs can be evaluated after the execution ofthe program, but also they can be monitored during theexecution stage. Therefore, these health operations resultscan be predicted easily. Using content analysis techniques, the framework can deal with qualitative clinical attributesand turn them into quantitative and measurable data. Areal-life implementation on pediatric immunization ismentioned for practical verification.
