In this paper a method is presented to predict the total boundary shear force Ff along the submerged sloped hydraulic jump with inclination angles 0ο≤φ≤15ο and compare it with the water weight W under the mean free surface of the jump. This weight has recently been presented by the author, and thus the boundary shear force is indirectly determined through the one – dimensional submerged jump equation. The results are systematic and show that, for constant Froude number, W/Ff is considerably decreasing when angle φ is increasing. The author believes that the results are useful to hydraulic engineers.
