Abstract:
In recent decades growing trends have been observed towards the use of PEG composites based nano- cellulose in drug delivery systems for wound dressing application. This study considered to evaluate the release of Tetracycline hydrochloride via PEG hydrogel Nano-composite and to assess the effect of different amount of nano-cellulose on release behavior. Reaction carried out by dissolving of reactants in 30 ml distilled water and placing into the water bath at 65℃ for gelation. The samples have been characterized by SEM and release behavior were studied by spectrometric methods at different nano-cellulose proportions(1-4 wt%).The optimum synthesized hydrogel Nano-composite showed 6% drug release for 6 hours at 30℃ with 3% of nano-cellulose. Also it observed that drug release decreased by an increase in the percentage of nano-cellulose till 3% and at 4% of filler the release increased again. Moreover, SEM images showed homogeneous morphology of Nano-composite .Taken together, results implicated that the constructed hydrogel Nano-composites can improve the antibiotic treatment.
