Abstract:

The rise and spread of Islamic culture from the seventh century onward has provided us with one ofhistory’s great artistic and decorative traditions. In a broad swath of Islamic rule, at one time extendingacross Europe, Africa, and Asia, we find artistic treasures of unrivaled beauty. Islamic art encompassesgreat achievements in calligraphy, stylized floral designs, architecture, and abstract geometric patterns. Inthis work we focus on the latter category, specifically on Islamic star patterns such as the ones catalogued byBourgoin [1399]. These patterns adorn buildings throughout the Islamic world. They are perhaps bestknown to Americans and Europeans through the Alhambra Palace in Granada, Spain, one of the jewelsof Islamic artThey are follow simple geometries.Sometimes we should use euclidean geometry and mathematic ways of thinking forfinding formula after that we can copy one piece for generating other pieces.One of the best ways to generate slamicpatterns is using progrmming tool like C++ or grasshopper.We can transform patterns by a change in datas and we create new patterns from one formula in softwares likegrasshopper We can use the high degree of symmetry of our template tilings to simplify decoration andrendering. We can decorate the pattern by many ways like blue patterns we faced with them in islamic patterns.Once we have software that can construct mathematical descriptions of star patterns, we can do more than simply renderimages of those star patterns on the computer screen. We can also feed the designs to a number of different computercontrolledmanufacturing technologies.Nowadays,due to the computers and new tools we can create different kind of geometrical patterns or new kind ofpatterns even .In this study we use computers and softwares like grasshopper to study the islamic patterns, study the ways that we cancreate such these things, think about transform them into new forms, decoration of them and the CAD for making starpatternsIn conclusion we understood that we can revive them again and use them easier in comparison with the previousdecades.
