Abstract:

Many studies have examinned the between managers leadership style and out outcomes at the organizational and personal level. This study builds on the existing literature to propose three hypothese about how manageres leadership style related to their organizations productivity in terms of public managers perspectiv. Multi source aqpproach is used to collect survey data from 314 public managers of state organizations in Guilan Province of Iran. A pearson and multiple corelation coefficient and descriptive methods used to analysis collected data. The findings support a direct and postive link between style of leadership that has been labeled as " transformational - transctional" and producivity. Furthermore this study found that managers age along with leadership style was postively related to productivity.while, correlation between dependent and independent variables does not depend on managers´ sex(male). The former is found to have a significant relation with organizationl productiveity, outcomes, and performance. The implications of the findings and possible direction for future research are discussed.
