خلاصه مقاله:
Emergency response systems in urban areas should be located in such a way to ensure adequate coverage as well as short response times. In this paper we present a novel method for optimizing the location of ambulances and determining their response districts on highways. The approach is based on the use of a well-known spatially distributed queuing model (hypercube model),embedded into a mathematical programming model.
