Goal programming and fuZZy goal programming models for aggregate production planning;A case study

Considering two or more than two objectives for determining strategic plan of a firm such as production planning, is vital and unavoidable subject. Although there are some multi-objective algorithms to solve the problem, using linear programming model combined with goal programming is considerable when a large-size practical problem is going to be solved. Three goals are investigated as: a) inventories and backorders, b) over time and idle time and c) hiring and firing. In this research, two types of linear programming models are applied for a case study. A goal programming model when the goals can be defined precisely and a fuzzy goal programming model when there are some uncertaintiesabout the firm s future.
