We report here on the preparation of Fe3O4 magnetic nanoparticle modified with polymeric ionicliquid. They were obtained through the polymerization of a 1-vinyl-3-octylimidazolium bromide-basedionic liquid with vinyl-modified Fe3O4@SiO2. The presented Fe3O4@SiO2@PIL magnetic nanoparticle wascharacterized by 1H NMR, FT-IR spectrometer, TGA and TEM.
