Abstract:
H2S Solubility in aqueous solution of N-methyldiethanolamine (MDEA) at different solution compositions, temperatures, pressures and acid gas loadings was correlated using the electrolyte version of modified HKM plusassociation (emHKM- CPA) equation of state. MSA theory together with Born term are responsible for the electrolytepart of the model. 302 experimental data used in this work. To model ternary system, at first pure componentsparameters have obtained from literatures. Then binary subsystems investigated and binary interaction parameterscalculated. In the following, ternary system modeled using a reactive bubble point pressure calculation method. Themethod consists of two main parts; the first one calculated the liquid phase concentrations by solving reactionequilibria, mass and charge balance equations. Second part is responsible for calculation of bubble point pressure andvapor phase composition. Considering number of binary interaction parameters that should be optimized, one fittingscenario was proposed. The scenarios presents good results with acceptable Absolute Average Deviation percentage(AAD%). The AAD% in the scenario is 13.33. The results show emHKM- CPA EoS good capability to calculate thesolubility of H2S in aqueous MDEA solutions.
