Providing proper method by using nature forms through biomimetic architecture approach, Lotus case study

We have seen the trends toward the nature in the works of many scholars. Ironically, all the architects who have intimacy with nature have not been able to gain valuable, practical, and theoretical achievements. As Paul Klee suggests, like a child who mimics us in her playing, we should follow the powers that have built the world. Consequently, the world was like a flexible and valuable matter that he could fall into it as an artist. Today, theoretical science is based on the methods of empirical sciences analysis. In fact, the sciences that risen from the nature laws, such as physics, biology,. have become the base of some sciences and arts such as architecture. Designers have applied two methods to use and mimic natural forms. In the first, the aim of the designer is just imitation of natural forms, while the latter apply the process that shaped the natural forms to create new designs. This study aims to provide proper strategies for acquiring knowledge from a lotus flower, to improve architectural forms, the architecture that is inspired by nature and discuss the dimensions of natural forms in improving the quality of architectural design. Definitely, this study needs more investigation in different aspects. In this research, the inspiration from the structural form of lotus is considered as a valuable unit sample in biomimetic designs. The main aim of this study is that how we can take an effective step to improve architecture forms through the forms drawn from the nature. The answers to this questions and the process of conducting this study is considered as a pattern to use by other scholars.
