چکیده Paper:

Persian Gulf with 237473 Km2 of area is the third biggest Gulf in the world after Maxican Gulf and Hudson Gulf. Its length is 805 kilometer and is considered to be the warmest water region of the world. The great amount of salt , the various sweet water springs in Gulf’s bottom and coasts such as Arvand , Dialeh , Mand , Dalki ,Minab and also the different wind such as North wind, Nashi , Ghos, and Soheili wind along with the complex tide cause different seasons in Persian Gulf. Persian Gulf is globally of great importance due to its economical and political reasons. Persian Gulf is significant mostly because of its oil resources and the sea export done in this region. The geophysical phenomena dominated the water circulation of Persian Gulf is called Monsoon which is extended from African coasts to half way of Red Sea. It affects all Persian Gulf coasts, goes toward east and reaches India. Other essential factors affecting this area’s water circulation are net evaporation (two meters annually), high density and the rivers that flow into the Gulf. In this article the different factors affecting water circulation in Persian Gulf are discussed. The prime equations dominated on this Gulf have been written. After changing the equations into numerical ones, the surface of Persian Gulf is divided into parts. Then the above factors are examined in each part. The equations are solved for each classification and numeric answers are obtained for stream function. Finally the velocity and directions of currents are acquired and charted by numeric methods. The results show circulation cells in Persian Gulf. Moreover, this circulation is directly related to the depth, it is reduced when the depth is increased.
