Abstract:

In an industrial society, compotition is based on quality and production rate and all companise try to improve quality of their products. Hence, using strategies that increase productivity will be as the single existing agent for production units nowadays. Group technology (GT) and machines layout are strategise that by implementation, productivity can be increased considerably. This paper considered the group technology and its application at cellular production in manufacturing and management philosophy. In this paper, first, GT was introduced briefly, then one cell problem was defined and solved by Single Linkage Clustering algorithm (SLCA), Rank Order Clustering (ROC) and Direct Clustering Algorithm (DCA). Then, results were compared by efficiency equation.
