Structure and function of Peroxidase DNAzymes

There is a single stranded molecule of DNA with peroxidase activity that called DNAzyme. These DNAzyme is formed from binding of hemin group to G-quadruplex DNA structure. Conformation of G-quadruplex which binds to hemin group affects on the catalytic activity of DNAzymes proxidase strongly. In this investigation, the interaction of hemin with 16 nucleotide Grich strand, in presence of some cations with absorption spectroscopy, fluorescence spectroscopy, circular dichroism was investigated. proxidase activity of DNAzyme in presence of cations was assayed by fluorescence spectroscopy methods
