Abstract:

Dispersive liquid-liquid microextraction method has found wide acceptance because of some advantages, including simplicity, inexpensive, environmentally friendly and high enrichment factor. It was optimized and employed for the microextraction of some volatile organic compounds (VOCs) such as benzene, toluene and xylene isomers fromchabahar seawater samples by means of gas chromatography-flam ionization detection. Several important parameters influencing the DLLME-GC-FID extraction efficiency including the type and volume of extracting and disperser solvents (extracting solvents: chloroform, 30 μL; carbon tetrachloride, 30 μL; disperser solvent: acetonitrile, 1 or 0.9mL), extraction time, pH (8), centrifuge time and rate were investigated and optimized. Under optimal extraction conditions, the limits of detection (LODs), limits of quantification (LOQs), relative standard deviations (RSDs), enrichment factor (EF) and linear range (LR) were obtained in the presence of both extraction solvents
