On the Classification and Applications of Location Problem: A Literature Review

This paper provides a review on recent efforts and development on location problem (2000-2010) in five categories including: p-median, p-center, UFLP, CFLP, QAP. Our goal is not to review all variants of different location models but to provide a general overview of main location problems that have been studied and emerged in current years, indicating briefly how they are formulated and also a short view on their applications. While there are a few chapters or sections in different location books and articles related to location problems, we have not seen any comprehensive review papers or book chapter that can cover this classification.
