According to research, cancer stem cells (CSCs) are rare cells in various cancers, includingleukemia and various solid tumors have been identified. Evidence suggests that cancer stem cellswith are capable of renewal and differentiation in a variety of cancers. Dysregulation of geneexpression and signaling pathways in cancer stem cells compared some with other malignanciattracts a lot of attention. Recently cancer stem cell hypothesis, given the high potential for thediscovery and development of this cells, associated with attracting and identify key molecules incontrolling their unique properties, has attracted a lot of attention. In recent years, in order tocapitalize on new drugs such as: nano-medicine, the possibility of using molecular markers ofcancer stem cells to targe this cells or various signaling pathways, many efforts have been. Variousnew techniques and strategies, to targeting this cells have been identified, Some of them in preclinicalstudies and clinical trials have been evaluated. In this review we discussion new discoveryon cancer stem cells, and unique identify and isolate this cells and advances in studies of drugresistance, as well as the innovative therapy systems and different strategies for targeting cancerstem cells . Finally, we discuss the mechanisms by which cancer stem cells may resist medicaltherapy and contribute to tumor relapse.
