خلاصه مقاله:
Due to extensive use of the viscoelastic solid films especially polymeric solid films in industries, the numerical analysis of viscoelastic problems become increasingly important in recent years and it should get more attention in computational sciences. The objective of this study is to develop a general finite element formulation (FEF) associated with an incremental adaptive procedure which established for analysis of the thermoviscoelastic problems. This paper concerned with the development of a numerical algorithm for the solution of the quasistatic initial/boundary value problems involving the linearly viscoelastic media with thermal and mechanical deformations. The viscoelastic constitutive equations which represented in the integral form involving the relaxation functions are transformed into an incremental algebraic form. An incremental relaxation finite element formulation is then developed to deal with the quasistatic thermo-viscoelastic problems. By the use of reduced time concept, a generalized Maxwell model is used to model the thermoviscoelastic constitutive equations. Based on this model and the incremental mechanical/thermal relaxation procedure, the total stress is only dependent on the previous stress state, incremental strain and incremental pseudotemperature
