Abstract:

In the present research, a hydrophilic metalloporphyrin such as Mn(THPP)OAc has been supported onto functionalized multi-walled carbon nanotubes. The prepared heterogeneous catalysts were charachtrized using inferared, electronic and atomic absorption spectroscopies, Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) X-ray diffraction pattern (XRD). The catalytic activity of the prepared catalytst [MnTHPP(OAc)@MWCNT] was investigated in the oxidation of alkenes with molecular oxygen as green oxidant. In order to optimize the catalytic oxidation reactions, several paremeters such as reaction time, solvent, presence of isobutyraldehyde (as oxidant activator) and amount of imidazole (as a co-catalyst) which may affect on catalytic activity have been optimized. After optimization of the reaction condition, excellent conversion(100%) were obtained in the present of Mn-catalyst in acetonitrile after 2 hour. Moreover, the solid catalysts can be reused several times under similar conditions without any loss of activity.
