Abstract:
Multiple input multiple output-orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (MIMO-OFDM) is considered a key technology in emerging high-data rate systems such as 4G, IEEE 802.16, and IEEE 802.11n.In this paper a novel signal detection scheme based on Quantum Gravitational Search Algorithm (QGSA) is proposed for MIMO-OFDM systems. QGSA is introduced as a novel algorithm which applies principles of quantum physics, such as wave function and collapsing in standard GSA. An analysis is given to the theoretical basis and practical performance of the proposed scheme. The simulation results show that the proposed detector outperforms the other similar methods in MIMO-OFDM systems. The simulation results and comparison confirm the superiority of the QGSA detector in comparison with other similar detectors.
