Abstract:

In this Research, copper oxide/water (CuO-H2O) nanofluid in a very low volume fraction 0.000625(%0.0625), has been investigated inside heat exchanger within Double-tube heat exchanger and Reynolds number in the range of 3,000 to 18,000. The results of performed tests in this Research, under turbulent flow regime are values of convection heat transfer coefficient, Nusselt number, Pressure drop, friction coefficient of nanofluid than that of the water-base fluid. Finally, it was observed that addition of this low amount of copper oxide nanoparticles in the water-base fluid, lead to increase in convection heat transfer coefficient and causes nanofluid Pressure drop due to water-base fluid.
