خلاصه مقاله:
With regard to people with various types of cancers, including multiple myeloma, this study evaluated the changes in the number of white blood cells and the number of platelets simultaneously after bonemarrow transplantation in patients with multiple myeloma using the random effects model. This study included 140 patients with multiple myeloma who received transplantation from Taleghani Hospitalbetween 2007 and 2013. 80 (57.1%) men and 60 women (42.9%) were women. In this study, the number of white blood cells and the number of platelets as the main variables were considered for fitting the random effects model and the SAS version 9.2 was used to analyze the data. 139 patients (99.3%) received autologous transplantation and only 1 (0.7%) received allogenic transplantation. Therandom effects model showed that body surface variables have a significant effect on white blood cells changes (p <0.05), but there is no significant effect on platelet changes. Also, time on platelets has astrong effect (p <0.0001) and also on white blood cells (p <0.01). According to the results of this study, white blood cells and platelets were related to time, and also the body surface was associated with white blood cells. By using the random effects model, you can check the status of white blood cells and platelets in patients with multiple myeloma.
