Abstract:
Since the breast cancer is rising in Iran, therefore the importance of identifying risk factors for this type of cancer in each area becomes apparent to prevention, diagnosis and on time treatment of disease. So this study aims to determine nutritional risk factors involved in breast cancer in women with breast cancer referring to the Gerash cancer specialized clinic was conducted. In this case-control study, 180patients referred to the cancer specialized clinic and other clinics in the city of Gerash were investigated(60 people with breast cancer and 120 people with nonmalignant diseases). Demographic and nutritional information of patients were collected through standard questionnaires and interview. Data were analyzed using chi-square and t-test. The findings showed that false nutrition like drinking a lot of coffee and consumption of high-fat, fried, low-fiber, fast foods, etc increase the risk of breast cancer and There is a meaningful relationship between the two (P=0.005). Due to the important role of nutritional risk factors in women s breast cancer, we can take an important step towards reducing the risk of breast cancer by creating awareness and education for the women s community and people at risk of developing this type of cancer
