In Iran, many women with breast cancer in face-to-face counseling have complained about problems with their body image after diagnosis and treatment. So the need for further research in this area is feltto understand how the diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer affects body image. This study was a cross-sectional study that was carried out in Tehran, Motamed cancer institute on 146 women (73healthy, 73 breast cancer survivors) under 50 years old. There was a significant difference in body image (p<0.05) between the two groups of healthy women sur vivors. This significant difference was alsofound for all components of both variables. There is need to have psychological programs for breast cancer survivors in treatment settings and clinics to promote their quality of life
