Abstract:
Periodic mesoporous organosilica compounds (PMO) in recent years are considered as one of the important issues of research. PMO nanostructures unlike mesoporous silica nanoparticles (MSN) from alkoxysilans are provided with organic connections and without using silica resource. Due to the range of selecting the type of precursor including silica, organic bridges and other variables of synthesis, the diversity in chemical nature of the wall of periodic organosilica pores is so wide so that these materials have extensive applications such as gas and molecule absorbent, catalyst, drug and gene delivery, electronics, sensors and water refinement. Based on noted cases, Islamic countries such as Iran and Saudi Arabia moved in line with world science and performed valuable works in the field of synthesis and making practical of PMO nanostructures. In this writhing, using PMO nanostructures in medicine is investigated.
