Abstract:

Considering the advancement of science and the development of new technologies in the last century, the identification of concrete and its properties has also been dramatically developed, so today it is seen to use different types of concrete with different materials that each of its properties and uses. Concrete is one of the most utilized materials for building and after water is the most consumable material consumed by humans. Hence, production, consumption, demolition of concrete and the return of materials from its degradation to nature have been investigated. Efforts to reduce concrete rubble and concrete recycling can help dramatically reduce demand for new materials and resources and lead to natural resource conservation. It is estimated that nearly 150 million tons of rubble for sand used in concrete are produced and consumed annually in the United States, but if this high volume of rock materials could be recovered from the past, the sand mines did not fall rapidly; So, despite the fact that the use of remaining concrete from worn-out structures for the production of recyclable concrete (RAC) cannot sustain natural resources and reserves, it can save a large amount of this preventing natural resources and providing a platform for sustainable development in the construction industry. This article attempts to study the environmental impacts of concrete use in the construction industry and waste deposits after the completion of concrete structures and, the ways to reuse this waste as aggregate for the construction of new concrete
