Abstract:

The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of social intelligence on the knowledge absorption capabilitand job motivation in high school administrators in Ahvaz city in 2017. The statistical population of the study consisted of 30 administrators of 76 managers of the existing schools in Ahvaz city who were selected by multi-stage method. To collect information in this study was a questionnaire of the Social Intelligence Scale, a standard questionnaire for absorb knowledge and job motivation questionnaire that was distributed among selected administrators. The data analysis method was Pearson correlation. The results of hypothesis testing showed that among the components of social intelligence (information processing, skills and social awareness) on the components of knowledge absorption (knowledge acquisition, knowledge integration, knowledge conversion and knowledge application), and The components of job motivation (need for job improvement, job seeking power and job bonding requirement). Principals of high schools in Ahwaz city have a direct and significant relationship with social intelligence predicts and the capability of knowledge absorption and job motivation in managers. At the end, suggestions were made.
