Transport of inorganic phosphate (Pi) through plant membranes is mediated by a number of families of transporter proteins. One of the most important one in these family is Tapt2. Several web-based bioinformatics analyses have used to study this protein in Triticum aestivum that is one of the most commonly used crop around the world. Estimated solubility was calculated by web-based tool Peptide Solubility Calculator (http://pepcalc.com/peptide-solubility-calculator.php) showed that the protein has poor water solubility. Prediction of secondary structure by Peptide Property Calculator Version 3.1 show that this sequence has one transmembrane region. The secondary structure prediction Analysis by psipred version 3.3 (http://bioinf.cs.ucl.ac.uk/psipred/) [1, 2] show that this protein has 16 alpha helix regions with some disordered protein binding region. Also, Biological Process Predictions of this software show that this gene participates in monovalent inorganic cation transport, transmembrane transport and cation, sodium, proton and metal transport with the high reliability. The result from this web-based site Predicted that this protein has 12 membrane region in its Transmembrane Topology. Studies on biological process, molecular function, cellular component predictions and sites of expression of the protein that encode the members of these transporter families are enabling roles to be ascribed to each of them.
