Abstract:

Background:Breast cancer is one of the commonest cancers in women at theworldwide. The incidence of cancer, particularly at ages 40 to 60 years and hasthe second grade between the ages of 30 to 40. The probability of risk is one pereight women. Soybeans have isoflavones named daidzein and genistein that areweak estrogens. This review aims the role of phytoestrogen and soya rich foodconsumption for the prevention of breast cancer.Materials and methods : In this study contents were collected the range ofyears 2005 – 2012 from the googleschoolar, iranmedex ,sciencedirect ,pubmedsites. Results:Studies have proven that soy products prevent the incidence of cancersbecause of the phytoestrogen. Daily consumption of soy-rich diet compared todomestic diet decrease the level of 17-β estadiol in amount of 25% andprogestron in amount of 45%. Most studies had done with genistein that have acombination of agonist – antagonist effect on estrogen-sensitive cells. Treatingwith genistein stimulates TGF-α to increase the differentiation of the mammarygland. Tumors treated with higher dosage of soy extract was consideredstatistically significant. Conclusion:One of the effecting mechanisms of soybean isoflavones indecreasing the risk of breast cancer is the impact on sex hormone levels andmenstrual cycle of androgens. Pytoestrogens stimulate the production of SHBG(Sex hormone binding proteins) in liver cells, decrease the level of sexhormones and can stretch out menstrual cycle. Consumption of soy productsand genistein extract are as adjective treatment . Although Further studies isneeded to clarify the effect of soy consumption in the prevention of breast cance
