Background:Breast cancer is the most common & the second reason of death because of cancers in women. It is important doing screening & diagnosis tests on time.Materials and methods: this is a review study assessed on new articles and medical books.Results: We can t change some important factors cancer such as age, genetics, age of menarche & menopause, but we most encourage high risk persons do self breast exam from 20 years old, physical exam every 6 months and yearly mammograms from 25 years old & in low risks persons in 40 years old. Prophylactic mastectomy in high risk persons decrease 90% the chance of cancer. Avoid of estrogen therapy in the menopause women with the history of breast cancer or strong familial history using from tomoxifen or raloxifen for prevention of osteoporosis decrease 76% chance of invasive cancer.The result of an experimental double blind study in 13000 women (2 groups) uses from 20 mg tomoxifen daily & placibo, incidence of cancer decreased 49% in drug group.(In the) Studies showed Low fatty feeding, used of supplements such as flax seed, vitamin E, Zn,… are suitable for prevention. The results of 48 studies showed regular physical activities in menopausal women decrease 20 -80 percent the risk of breast cancer.Other factors such as breast feeding & pregnancy below 30 years old have an important role in prevention of breast cancer.Conclusion: It is recommended for the treatment of patients at risk do genetic consulting, psychiatry counseling, oncology counseling and surgical repair to achieve the desired result.
