Abstract:

This article examines the prospect of EFLteachers perspective toward the future of English language teaching in women of Iranian high school. It has adopted the approach ofCross -impact analysis to analyze the data collected from interviews with 20 EFL experts in Iran.Cross-impact analysis is a methodology developed by Theodore Gordon and Olaf Helmer in 1966 to help determine how relationships between events would impact resulting events and reduce uncertainty in the future. In this paper, we estimate how theCross-impact analysis has beenperspective toward the future of English language teaching in women in Iran by 2030. Iran, being, collectivist, and restrained society with a normative cultural orientation and preference for avoiding uncertainty, will be reluctant to accept technological innovation so quickly which would replace EFL teachers. Further research covering a time frame beyond 2030 would be needed.
