Abstract:

This study was aimed at investigating the basic components of global citizenship in the official high school curriculum. In the official curriculum the population includes all secondary school courses in human sciences field in the academic years 2014-2015, which Three lessons of literature, sociology and history of Iran and the world was purposefully chosen.The main findings of the study were:In the official curriculum, knowledge in the global citizenship education is much more emphasized than other dimensions. With respect to degree of emphasis, skill and attitudes gain importance respectively. The results indicate unbalanced emphasis on the various components of global citizenship education in official curriculum.
