Abstract:

In mountainous areas where rainforestfarming is carried out, climate changehas a more negative impact onagriculture and the lives of ruralhouseholds, especially smallholderfarmers. These farmers have limitedcapacity and this vulnerability has always been athreat to their livelihoods. The most importantreasons for this vulnerability include inappropriatelivelihoods, resource constraints, low productivity, small agricultural land and lack of access toagricultural inputs such as organic fertilizers, seeds, and so on. These farmers, through the process ofadaptation to climate change, can minimize climatethreats. Climate change events, such as floods, droughts, warming and possible effects, significantlyreduce assets, undermine livelihoods, reduce laborproductivity and reduce farmers social relationships. If the effects of these hazards do not be managed byadaptation strategies, it will lead to low yields ofagricultural products. Therefore, properunderstanding of the effects of these changes isnecessary for farmers to take appropriate action andto identify the effective economic and social factorsin this regard. Therefore, in this study, thesocioeconomic factors influencing on adaptation ofsmallholder farmers to climate change was studied.
