Minimally Invasive Approaches in Diagnosis and Treatmentof Breast Cancer

Breast cancer is the most common cancer in women worldwide. We are getting better in diagosing and treating the disease using multi-modalitytreatment. In my presentation , I will highlight the latest advances in the minimally invasive techniques in diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer with empahsis on the research that is undergoing in my Institution. These will include use of Breast PET, intra-operative diagnosis of sentinel node, intra-operative radiotherapy, intra-operative surgical margin determination and photodynamic therapy.
