Breast cancer is the most prevalent neoplastic disease in women around menopause period which often leading to a significant reduction of women’s ability and their functions in daily life. In the Middle East, breast cancer is the most common malignancy among women. Similarly, breast cancer has a first rank among women’s cancers in our country -I.R.Iranincluding 21.4 percent of all malignancies in females. Further studies conducted over the past several years showed that 20-30% of newly diagnosed breast cancers may be associated with the occurrence of various risk factors which activate initiating or modifying the process of neoplastic transformation of breast cells. The most important ones are age over 40, history of mammary gland diseases, history of cancer in first-degree relatives and etc. In this study nearly 3017 diagnosed breast cancers between 1383 and 1393 have been investigated which have been referred to Shahid Rajaei Hospital. Among 3017 patient, 28 cases were men and other were women. We were categorized them into 6 age groups. In Women patients, those whose age in 45-54 have maximum abundance but men patients who older than 64, have maximum abundance. Our study indicate that incidence of breast cancer was maximum in 1392 with 368 diagnosis in north Iran’s population.
