خلاصه مقاله:
Background and purpose: Epstein - Barr Virus (EBV) is a cofactor in the development of different malignancies, including several types of carcinomas. Breast cancer is one of the most common malignancies in women and identify risk factors can be effective in preventing infection. In this study, we investigated association between EBV and human breast cancers. Methods: The study reviewed data obtained with key words: Association, Breast Cancer and Epstein - Barr Virus. with search for articles and book published in Pubmed, SID, Iranmedex, Google Schular. Result: Studies on the association of Epstein – Barr Virus with Breast Carcinoma have reported conflicting results. Multiple conflicting findings have been presented which indicate that EBV may be found in anywhere from 0% to 51% of breast carcinomas. We reviewed more than 30 articles and and got conflicting results. Conclusion: Further epidemiological, biological and molecular assessments are needed to confirm the possible association between this virus and the process of carcinogenesis. Given these limitations and the established complexity of the connection of EBV with other cancers, a definitive judgment regarding the presence of this virus in breast cancer cannot yet be rendered.
