Introduction and goal: Breast cancer is the most common cancer and the most common cause of cancer death among women. This cancer makes up about 33% of cancers inwomen, it can be said that the most important causes of death due to the disease, see the doctor sooner when patients due to lack of awareness. Materials and Methods:This study aimed to assess the knowledge and desire to BSE among women, and systematic review of published papers using databases Google Scholar, Sid, Pubmed, and magiran between 1998 and 2013, wrote Come. Results: The incidence of breast cancer in the general population worldwide is between 8 and 10%, Movahed (2011) awareness of breast cancer, 43.1% and 2.3% reported doing regular breast self-examination. Davis (1998), the lack of adequate facilities for treatment of breast cancer in 89% of patients with this disease is an important problem of rural women, Anvari (2012) 63% of the participants knowledge of BSE as well as the 39% practiceregularly, and Abedi (2012) also stated 33%. Discussion and Conclusion: Knowing the warning signs of breast cancer can cause your treatment. Because studies, satisfactory results in terms of awareness and breast self- examination is not to suggest it is better to strengthen the relevant institutions to take the necessary measures for women.
