Abstract:

Introduction: Breast cancer is the first cancer in Iranian women and has been identified as the most important cause of death from cancer among women. Manywomen who survive breast cancer experience the treatment-related problems including vasomotor symptoms, decreased quality of life and reduced psychosocial functioning. There are many different of behavioral methods, such as stress management methods and exercise interventions for problems related to breast cancer treatment. Due to the need for recognizing process of studies related to exercise on psychological function of women with breast cancer, conducting literature review in this field is required. Materials and methods: In this review and library study, was searched from Iran Medex databases, PubMed, Science Direct, SID, Google Scholar, Proquest and was found related articles. Ultimately, 63 articles which related to exercise on psychological function of women with breast cancer were evaluated between 1990 to 2014 years. Results: The literature review showed that between the exercise and psychological function of women with breast cancer have positive impacts. Women with breast cancer have low psychological function, and exercise can improved it. In this studies, women who have used exercise, reported less anxiety disorders, depression, stress and fatigue. Conclusion: Following the diagnosis and treatment of women with breast cancer, many psychological functions will be changed. These negative outcomes of cancer reduced by recognizing them and use effective interventions, that exercise is one of those items.
