Abstract:

Background: Breast cancer is the most common cancer among women. Since there are many problems in the treatment of many cancers, including breast cancer, and on the other hand due to the low cost and easy access the public to Herbal extracts, in this study, we evaluated the anticancer effects of Herbal extracts on breast cancer cells.Search methods: We searched the databases of documents Google scholar, Sid.ir PubMed and keywords breast cancer , Herbal extracts and breast cancer cell line, and the Latin equivalent between 2000 and 2015 years, 197 articles were found. Finally, 28 article of them were selected and comprehensive analyzed. Results: Based on conducted analyses, extracts of alfalfa plants, Silybum marianum, olive and green tea has anti-cancer effects. So that olive extract and green tea as raw have cell lysis effect on the cell line BT474. Conclusions: Overall, the results of conducted researches confirming the effectiveness of these herbal extracts are against breast cancer. Due to being natural product, the public access and low cost, entering the Herbal extracts in the diet and pharmaceutical production may be effective in the treatment ofbreast cancer.
