Diabetes mellitus type 1 impairs the body’s metabolism and body weight change and water and food consumption is frequently associated with the disease. The aim of this study was to evaluate the changes in the model animal at the end of 2 weeks - 2 months and 4 months respectively. A total of 72 rats male young adult weighing 30± 250 g were randomly divided into groups (12 rats) and control (4 months) - 2 months and 2 weeks at standard conditions were stored in test groups stereptozosyn dose 60 mg / kg and control groups were given normal saline traits. All animal groups were weighed and their weights were recorded at the end of the first and second groups were measured 2 weeks and 2 months and 4 months both groups were weighed every 10 days. Information on changes in body weight and food and water consumption was analyzed through survey method and the corresponding tests. (The length of time statistical method repated-measurement- analysis and at the beginning and another any control or test methods Paired-t-test and at the beginning or end of the control group and the test T-test) and the following results for the diabetic group was obtained. The average amount of glucose in experimental groups 2 weeks, 2 months and 4 months significantly increased the weight changes for the Group 2 weeks was not significant, while for group 2 months of weight at the end of the initial weight was significantly reduced shown that it starts. Water for 2-week group had a significant increase during the period of 2 months and 4 months for groups compared to the control groups was significantly increased at all times. The study also confirmed previous results, but differences were observed at .the onset of these changes
