Abstract:

The tension of the organism under the influence of an environmental factor that causes severe visual loss, productivity or worth. One of them is the drought stress which hasdramatic effects on the three stages: growth and flower formation, pollination and fertilization and seed formation. Plants with deep and developed roots, the appropriatelevel of shade, size, angle and movement of leaves, thick cuticle, adjusted level of leaf stomata during the hottest hours and osmotic pressure regulation can prevent droughtstress. Created drought resistance is a mechanism to mitigate the effects of tension. One of the compounds that are effective in plant resistance is salicylic acid hormone likecompound, which as a growth regulator in connection with defense mechanisms against stress factors has been specified. Carla belongs to Cucurbitaceae family and its unripe green fruit has a bitter taste and appearance of the fruit has tiny bumps and inside appear red bean-shaped parts. Its chemical compounds are proteins and minerals ..In traditional medicine, fruit, leaves, seeds, and roots are used for the treatment of diabetes, ulcers and high blood pressure. Under water stress soluble compound in plants such as sugars, amino acids and enzymes increases. To evaluate the effects of drought in the presence of salicylic acid treatment on Carla, an experiment was conducted as completely randomized design and plant height, leaf size, root size, dry weight, were measured . This study was carried out under controlled conditions in a greenhouse andthe concentrations of 0 _100_200_500 and 1000 mM of salicylic acid were sprayed. The survey showed that external use of salicylic acid increased Leaf area, chlorophyll index,height, root dry weight under drought stress compared to control , so that can cause increased in the growth of the plants.
