Abstract:
Mural thrombosis and embolization play a central role in the development of unstable angina. Myocardial infarction and sudden ischemic death. In this research, we presented a numerical model to study the physical motion of a blood clt bulk with sphercal geometry inside the human common carotid artery. we have also analyzed the dynamics of deformable blood clot passing through a stenosis in two models having different severities and the artery hemodynamics was investegated thoroughly during this phenomenon . In the numerical model, we assumed a transient flow in an axisymmetric fintie lingth tube. The incompressible Navier - Stokes ewuations were used as the governing equations for the fluid and a linear elastic model was utilized for the blood clot.
